1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Trove ("the Service"), operated by Trove ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Trove is a natural language image search tool that aggregates results from publicly accessible museum archives, library collections, and stock photography services. Trove also offers optional paid features ("Trove Pro") including cloud-synced boards, team workspaces, and cross-device access.
3. Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Trove Pro & Payments
Trove Pro is a paid subscription service billed monthly at the rate displayed at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record, who handles billing, tax, and VAT on our behalf.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle unless cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time through the customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact flex@wantmymtv.xyz for refund requests.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
5. User Content & Boards
You retain ownership of any boards, collections, and organizational structures you create on Trove. However, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit your content as necessary to operate the Service. Boards made public may be viewed and forked by other users.
You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate rights to any content you add to boards. We do not claim ownership of the images surfaced through search — those belong to their respective archives and rights holders.
6. Image Sources & Attribution
Trove aggregates images from third-party sources including museums, libraries, and stock photography services. Each image remains subject to the terms and licensing of its original source. We display attribution for all images and link back to original sources. Trove does not host or redistribute original image files — we link to them.
We make no guarantees about the availability, accuracy, or licensing status of third-party images. Users are responsible for verifying usage rights before using any image outside of Trove.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service at scale.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Use the Service to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
8. Intellectual Property
The Trove name, logo, interface design, and original code are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission. The search results and images displayed are property of their respective rights holders.
9. Privacy
We collect minimal data necessary to operate the Service: account information (email, name), board data for Pro users, and basic usage analytics. We do not sell your personal information. 10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for the accuracy or content of third-party image sources.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trove and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Team Workspaces
Pro subscribers may invite team members to shared workspaces. The account owner is responsible for their team's use of the Service. Team seats are limited to the number included in the subscription plan. We reserve the right to remove team members who violate these terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. For Pro subscribers, we will make board data available for export for a reasonable period after termination.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Trove ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our service at trove.pictures ("the Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and a hashed password. Passwords are managed by Supabase Auth and are never stored in plain text.
Board and content data: For Pro users, we store your boards, image references, and organizational structures in our cloud database to enable sync across devices. Free users' boards are stored locally in their browser only.
Payment information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. We do not store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or other payment details on our servers. We receive and store your Lemon Squeezy customer ID and subscription status.
Usage data: We may collect basic, anonymized usage analytics such as pages visited, features used, and search queries to improve the Service. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising pixels.
Device and browser data: Standard server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and operating system. These are used for security and debugging purposes only.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Process subscriptions and manage billing status.
- Sync your boards and content across devices (Pro users).
- Enable team workspace features and manage team membership.
- Respond to support requests and communicate important updates.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with encryption at rest and in transit. We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data and data shared with them through team workspaces. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no system is 100% secure.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and cloud storage.
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and subscription management (Merchant of Record).
- Vercel — hosting and serverless functions.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — natural language query processing. Search queries are sent to the Claude API for decomposition; no personal data is included in these requests.
- Image source APIs (Unsplash, Library of Congress, Wikimedia, etc.) — search queries are forwarded to these services to retrieve results. We do not send personal data to image source APIs.
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- With third-party services listed above, as necessary to operate the Service.
- With team members in your workspace, limited to shared board content and your display name/email.
- When required by law, legal process, or government request.
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of Trove, our users, or the public.
7. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage and IndexedDB to store your boards, preferences, and session data locally. Supabase Auth uses secure cookies or local storage for authentication tokens. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data — contact us to request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data — update your profile information at any time through the Service.
- Delete your data — request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
- Export your data — Pro users can export their boards at any time.
- Withdraw consent — you can close your account at any time.

9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States, where our infrastructure providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
